Looking at New York in Maps and want to know the sun times? Ask Siri to "Open this in Lumy". With on‑screen awareness, the place you’re looking at simply moves with you into Lumy. No copying, no searching again.

Lumy already has a solar engine that calculates every sun and moon figure. Now the on‑device Foundation Model can call on it. So you can just ask: “Which day this week has the longest golden hour?” “Will I see the moon tonight?” The model understands the question. Lumy’s engine answers. Shipped only once the evaluations proved it right.

With Siri Shortcuts, sun and moon events become something you can act on. Siri resolves the event and its time automatically, without opening the app. Ask for a sunset timer and it lands on the Lock Screen as a Live Activity.

A sun event is a calendar event created by nature. It has a start, an end, and a location. So Lumy models sun and moon events as App Entities, shaped like the calendar events Siri already knows. Siri returns the actual blue hours for where you are.

For every sun event, Lumy combines the selected mode with the forecast and uses the Foundation Model to explain what those conditions actually mean: clear skies and strong sunlight for golden hour, watch for sudden changes in brightness. Enhanced for iOS 27.
